The Daffodil
Simply the best place in town - my husband and I dine there about once a month and the food and service is simply outstanding. Also the breathtaking art deco surroundings take some beating.

The Beehive Inn
Good place for sunday lunch. Food is generous and delicious. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere and children are welcome.

The Daffodil
Pritty naff and not worth the trip

Cafe Paradiso at Alias Hotel Kandinsky
My partner and I found ourselves in Cheltenham Saturday 29th after visiting family and decided to book a table in Cafe Paradiso at the Kandinsky hotel in Montpellier. We had previously eaten here about eight months before and found it fine, however, we were very disappointed this time. The starter was OK (I had Game Terrine and he had soup of the day), but the main was dreadful. We both had Venison and found it very tough, luke warm and completely flavourless - it was like chewing warm soggy cardboard with sellotape on the outside. He persevered with his but I simply couldn't eat mine - they did knock it off the bill, but the disappointment ruined the whole evening. Also, although the staff were friendly, there didn't seem to be any form of dresscode - they all turned up in whatever they could lay hands on, which was mostly jeans and T-shirts. When you're paying over £80 for a meal for two it's not unreasonable to expect some sort of consistent (smart casual) general dress for the staff serving you - even if it's as simple as a pair of dark jeans and clean white shirt. Next time we'll be going back to The George (just down the road), where we've eaten many times and always had top quality food.

Brasserie Blanc
Too posh.
